From smaller church pumpkin lots to massive farms with corn mazes, hayrides, and more. 2016 Pumpkin Patches
Arapaho United Methodist Church
Location: 1400 West Arapaho Rd., Richardson 75080
Open: September 30-October 31, 2016, 11am-7pm Monday-Friday & 10am-8pm Saturday-Sunday
Cost: Free (except pumpkin purchases)
This little pumpkin patch has become a local favorite to the Richardson, Plano, and North Dallas areas. As Jenny mentions in THIS past post, if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to grab photos of your child in the pumpkins, this is a GREAT spot! Bring a red wagon and pick out your favorite pumpkins for carving, take a few photos among their Fall backdrops, and be on your way!
Blase Family Farm Pumpkin Patch
Location: 1232 E Fork Dr. Rockwall 75087
Open: October 1-30, 2016, Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 12-6pm
Cost: $7/person (ages 1 and under are free) – includes feed for petting zoo, Hayride, small hay maze, and mini pumpkin (or hot dog depending on the day)
Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens
Location: 8525 Garland Rd., Dallas 75218

Cost: $15/adults, $10/children (3-12), 2 & under are free; Exibition is free to members (Parking: $8 advanced, $15 at the door)
The Dallas Arboreteum’s “Autumn at the Arboretum” includes the nationally acclaimed “Pumpkin Village” with over 75,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash available for your little cuties to pose and play in. Pumpkins are also available for purchase in the Tom Thumb Pumpkin Patch. Then take advantage of your trip to the Arboretum by enjoying other various activities throughout the season (Harvest Tea, Mommy & Me Mondays, and Tiny Tot Tuesdays). Elves Farm

Most known for their Christmas trees, this farm can’t be over looked at Halloween with over 80,000 pounds of Pumpkins, Gourds, Indian corn and specialty pumpkins brought into the farm every year. The Pumpkin Patch activities include Hayrides, a maze, a farm zoo, hay jump and dress your own scarecrow stations (great photo opportunity). Farm specialties include picnic areas, tours, snacks, drinks, gifts, arts and crafts, restrooms, country atmosphere, and free coffee on request.
Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch (on Double Oak Ranch)

This Pumpkin Patch west of Dallas has it all! Kids will love tromping through the hay maze, bouncing in the inflatable bounce houses, taking trips around the farm on hayrides and pumpkin patch trains, enjoying delicious Fall snacks from food vendors on the weekends. In addition to selling pumpkins of all sizes (starting as low as $2), this pumpkin patch also sells gourds, squash, corn husks, and hay bales for you decorative mamas!
Gentle Zoo

Come for the pumpkin patch, stay for the fun! General admission to the patch includes a train ride, maze, petting zoo, inflatable pillow, and carnival games.
Great Pumpkin Patch (at Storybook Ranch)
Location: 3701 S. Custer, McKinney 75070
Open: September 24-November 1, 2016, Sunday-Friday 10am-Sundown, Saturday 9am-Sundown
Cost: $15/child – includes hay maze, pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses, wagon ride through 1800’s Western Town and a mini pumpkin, $5/adult – includes petting zoo, 1800’s wagon ride tour & mini pumpkin (Kids under 2 are free.)
If you’re looking for a truly unique pumpkin experience, Storybook Ranch in McKinney has it! Established in 1887 as a working cattle ranch, but has since been recreated into a historic western town complete with 15 buildings from the 1840’s-1860’s.
Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze

This true Texas farm that began in the 1920’s makes for a fun pumpkin patch outing with the family! Enjoy seeing pumpkins on the vine and take advantage of the multiple photo “opps” set up around the grounds. If you have older children, grab a flashlight and come try the 2 acre corn maze after dark!
Preston Trail Farms (formerly known as the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm of Celina)

For anyone who lives further north in the metroplex, or doesn’t mind the drive, Preston Trail Farms has all you need for a pumpkin patch experience. Formerly the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm of Celina, this family farm picked up and moved just a few miles further north to a bigger location. Enjoy hay bales, mazes, and pumpkins for photos (or purchase), plus enjoy animals and a petting zoo!
Pumpkins on the Prairie (at Grace Ave UMC)

This is a great, easy pumpkin patch if you’re looking for easy in and easy out! Not only is it free for all activities (hay rides, corn maze, bounce house), but each weekend there’s different family-themed activities planned from movie nights to face painters. There’s even a chance to launch a pumpkin!

This is the perfect pumpkin patch for little ones in the area and is in the middle of a planned community.
