Breakfast with Santa Wrap-Up (& a Special Event Reveal)

Before the craziness of Christmas, Dallas Moms Blog & Texas Discovery Gardens had a wonderful time hosting “Breakfast with Santa” on our first split date event! On Thursday, December 10 & Saturday, December 12, we had over 75 families attend to capture a stress-free moment with Santa. But of course, there was so much more!

Each event kicked off with a Breakfast provided by Whole Foods in Lakewood (Abrams Rd. & Gaston). Guests enjoyed amazingly delicious, warm breakfast tacos (and we’re not just saying that…they were so yummy!) and fresh fruit trays. KIND Snacks provided a wide range of bars to sample and a big thank you to GoGo Squeez for giving the kids a little something special. We loved the Apple Pineapple Sauce – mess-free.

While families enjoyed breakfast, children were invited up on stage for a special reading of The Night Before Christmas read by Santa Claus himself. If there was ever a visual reminder of why we love to host events for families, this was it! Watching the expression on children’s faces as the see Santa “in person” walking around, many for the first time, was a sight to see! We can’t thank Santa enough for taking the time to speak to kids individually and making them feel special.

Throughout the morning a select number of guests were able to book a stress-free photo session with Santa. No long lines to wait in. No rushing to get through. And no sales pitches to buy snow globes or pictures frames. While waiting, families enjoyed crafts in the atrium of Texas Discovery Gardens and a craft table provided by local Etsy Shop, White Rabbit Press.

One of our favorite perks of the event was our host venue! Texas Discovery Gardens wasn’t only kind enough to host our event, but they also provided admission into their gardens and Butterfly House for all of our guests who purchased a ticket to the event. While waiting for a moment or photo with Santa, families were able to take advantage of the rare 70 degree Texas Winter weather by walking the gardens and exploring the butterflies. Guests on both days were even encouraged to stay for the Noon Butterfly Release of new butterflies into the House.

While we can’t wait to see if Santa returns again in 2016 for another Dallas Moms Blog event, we’re thrilled to announce we’re partnering with Texas Discovery Gardens again in March for our next family-friendly event!
