Dine, Dance and Celebrate: Kicking off 2016 with Sambuca Uptown {Sponsored Giveaway}

This post has been sponsored by Sambuca Uptown to share with our readers a unique NYE event and a great excuse for a date night

Two years ago all of my girlfriends and I decided that at least once in our life we wanted to do New Years Eve (NYE) big-I’m talking fancy dresses at a big party with unlimited food and alcohol, dancing, the whole shebang.  We convinced our husbands to take us out, shelled out some serious cash for the event tickets, hired babysitters and were all convinced this would be the best NYE ever!

I won’t say it was the worst NYE ever, but it was far from the best.  What I thought would be a classy affair featured no tables to sit at, a “buffet” of drunkenly rummaged finger foods, a 30 minute wait for beverages (each round) and we topped off our evening with multiple people getting sick right in front of us.  I was so turned off by the experience I swore off going out on NYE ever again and last year we were in bed counting down the clock to 8 p.m.

Well you know what they say about never say never, this year I’m feeling the itch to get a sitter and put some makeup on (I mean I should do it at least once a year, right?) and go out on a fun date with my husband to celebrate the end of 2015 and start of 2016.  After my experience two years ago, I knew what I was looking for-I wanted a festive and lively ambiance but with quality food, beverages and a place to rest my feet because lets be real, I haven’t worn heals since my last NYE soiree.

Enter Sam2016NYEbuca Uptown, the spot I personally go to for an after work happy hour or when I get a chance, a well-deserved Mom’s Night Out.  They are now taking reservations for NYE where they intend for their guests to dine, dance and celebrate!

Seating times can be made between 6:00-9:30 featuring a three or four course meal (check out the menu here), with ticket prices ranging between $49 to $100 per person which is less than half of what we paid two years ago.  After you enjoy your full meal, each guest is welcome to enjoy dancing and the entertainment from the live band with a balloon drop marking the start of the new year.

While I’m sure the hot tables (and the first booked-so if you are interested, you better get going!) will be the later seating times, I’m personally interested in the 6 p.m. reservation.  I feel that this is going to appeal to the best of both worlds for me-I can get all dolled up, have a fantastic meal, share a toast with my love and get home to relieve the sitter (so she can go out to a late night party) and count down to 10 p.m. and wake up refreshed and ready to take on 2016!

Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve?  If you are like me and wanting to get your dancing feet out there, Sambuca has provided us a pair of tickets to 6 p.m. dinner seating to giveaway.  If you don’t want to take your chances and want to secure your spot, be sure to visit here and purchase your tickets.  Good luck!
