UTA Planetarium Collection and astrophotography by Max Corneau
On View March 3rd – 30th 2017
Opening Reception and Gallery Talk with Max Corneau- Saturday, March 18th from 2pm-5pm
Each NASA space shuttle flight returns with photographs taken of the Earth’s surface. These photographs provide a unique view of the changing surface of the Earth, including landforms, weather patterns, and other surface disturbances. Photographs for the exhibition are provided by the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Astrophotography from NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Max Corneau demonstrates the skill and dedication of local space enthusiasts. The University of Texas-Arlington Planetarium will also share objects from their collection related to space exploration. Archival NASA posters and prints from the Dallas Public Library’s Government and Urban Information Division will be on view along with NASA reports and documents. All month long Library patrons and Gallery visitors are encouraged to write a letter supporting NASA astronauts in honor of Women’s History Month!
