When it comes to baby bags, or mommy bags, do you ever feel like Goldilocks? I was Goldilocks and the (ninety) three bags for a long time before finding a bag that works well for me, the Anna bag from Lily Jade.
The first diaper bag I had was too big, boxy and cavernous. I could never find what I needed, and I (unnecessarily) carried around two thirds of my nursery in that thing. Chalk that up to #newmomproblems.
Once my daughter had reached toddler age, and my bag outweighed my child, I decided to ditch the 35lb diaper bag for something smaller and more modern (and way more designer). Except that I didn’t want crackers, juice, stickers, crayons and general kid-mess mucking up the bottom of my schmancy bag. So I would pack a separate bag with all my daughter’s things. In hindsight, that sounds like a lot of work!
Now I have a 5 year old and a 20 month toddler with me most of the time. The amount of kid-stuff I carry around on a daily basis is pretty minimal – diapers/wipes, snacks, sunscreen, a few books/crayons for the girls and of course my wallet, iPhone, lipgloss and snacks for myself. I have found a bag that fits exactly what we need every day and is also really easy to keep organized all day.
There are a few things I really love about my Lily Jade bag. It’s a beautiful handbag; it’s sleek and modern and doesn’t scream “there are diapers and Goldfish in here!!” The best part might be the removable, washable, organizer insert in every Lily Jade bag. When the kid-mess is too much to handle, just toss it in the washing machine. You can also remove that insert (with all of your neatly organized supplies) and transfer it to another bag if needed. For example, I don’t like to take my Anna handbag to the pool, but the insert fits perfectly in my pool bag. It also came with a removable cross-body strap and its great to have my bag close and my hands free for each daughter.
