West Texas Swing Sets {An $850 Giveaway!}

Fall is quickly approaching and temperatures will be in the cool 70’s and 80’s before we know it. Personally, this is my favorite time of year!

Older kids are in school, parks and playgrounds are abandoned, and my boys and I can spend hours outside without feeling like we’re melting or being covered in drippy, sticky Popsicles just to keep cool.

While some parents think about their backyard plans in the Spring and how they’ll utilize it during the summer, my husband and I thought about the bigger picture!

Swing Set 2 (As Sold by WestTexasSwingSets.com)

It was around this time last year that we decided to put in our first swing set for our boys! My second son was barely 9 months old and with an energetic 2 year old, I knew we were going to want something in the backyard that would keep him entertained while I took care of the baby — A Swing Set!

It was perfect! For the last year, with a blanket in the grass, we’ve spent the best Texas seasonsoutdoors–playing, using our imagination, and creating memories in the cooler temps. While it’s also been great to have this summer, let’s face it…packing up the kiddos to head to a park to spend 15 minutes outside in humid 100 degree temps…no thank you! I’ve loved being able to send them out into our backyard (sometimes watching from the air conditioned side of our glass door) and let them play, climb, and slide before heading right back inside. No wrangling necessary!

I’m now 100% convinced every mom needs some kind of outdoor play structure, and I’m thrilled that Dallas Moms Blog is partnering with West Texas Swing Sets to bring you an incredible giveaway for DFW Moms Night Out!

Krystal Hurst
Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
