I'm a North Dallas wife and mother of two slightly over-scheduled teen girls and a happily overweight golden retriever. Living between the pulse of the city and tranquility of the burbs makes it easy to take weekly jaunts throughout the community in search of an interesting story lead, or just a good cup of coffee. Although I grew up in Oklahoma City, I've called Texas home for nearly 20 years. I guess that means I have dual citizenship on both sides of the Red River. When I'm not carpooling, I spend most of my time assisting a variety of nonprofits, schools and civic organizations in marketing and public relations throughout North Texas. My family and I recently returned from an epic 4,000-mile road trip, which is like driving further than Dallas to Honolulu. The experienced inspired me to write about building intentional family moments through the wonders of travel around town and across the U.S. in my blog, Mommy's Minivan Monologues I'm delighted to join Dallas Moms Blog and I'm excited to have you join me as I continue to discover the DFW area and share more tales from the road.
