Joanna is a lifelong Dallas resident with part of her heart in New Orleans.  Besides giving her a husband, NOLA has many similar priorities: Food, Family, and Faith - all important parts of her life as a mother of two spirited sisters, one sweet boy, and one extremely needy dog. She graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with degrees in Child Learning and Development and Psychology, before becoming a public school teacher.  She is now a full-time stay-at-home mom who loves experimenting in the kitchen and exploring the local food (and beer) scene. Joanna is also involved in her church, loves a good workout, and diving into a good book (or reality TV show). She loves to share on Instagram and (very) occasionally on her personal blog Cafe Du Martin.
