BLOOM: A New and Expecting Moms Event Recap

0

Pediatrician interviews, choking down prenatal vitamins, midnight feedings, countless store runs for diapers and other necessities, and numerous well-visits are just a few ways that new and expecting moms adjust their lives around welcoming a new member of the family, and let’s be honest….it can be daunting!

In an effort to pamper these moms for their selflessness, Dallas Moms Blog hosted our 4th annual BLOOM {presented by Kindercare Learning Centers} this spring for all new and expecting moms, and I think we can safely say our moms enjoyed it!

The event was hosted at Noah’s Event Venue in Richardson, and the setting could not have been more perfect for all that was offered. Noah’s provided an intimate, but relaxing experience with an elegant backdrop for our guests.

Dallas Moms Blog was fortunate to have some amazing sponsors that helped make BLOOM 2018 a success: Kindercare Learning Centers, Dallas Synergy Chiropractic, myKIDSdds, Baby Begin, Alicia Skinner Photography, JCC Dallas, Mornings with Mommy, Britax, Children’s Garden Montessori Academy, Serving Life Chiropractic, Urgent Care for Kids, Costco, and Attuned Doula Services.

During the event, moms were able to attend various informational sessions aimed to help educate new and soon-to-be moms on important topics from our sponsors such as ‘Overcoming Stress in Pregnancy, Delivery, and Beyond’ by Dallas Synergy Chiropractic, ‘Frenectomies’ by My Kids DDS, ‘Safety Means More Than Safe’ by Kindercare Learning Centers, ‘Preventing “Flat Head Syndrome”’ by Baby Begin, and ‘Becoming a Soulful Parent’ by JCC Dallas.

Moms took away an abundance of information to help them navigate not only the initial stages of pregnancy and motherhood but also the years following!

In addition to the informational break out sessions, new mothers were able to utilize the nursing station sponsored by Mornings with Mommy. Not only were moms able to have a quiet oasis to retreat to as needed, Mornings with Mommy staff were there to offer trained advice regarding breastfeeding.

No expectant or new mother’s event would be complete without some amazing food, and BLOOM definitely did not disappoint on that end! The cravings station was stocked with goodies from Nothing Bundt Cakes-Richardson, GiGi’s Cupcakes-Richardson, Chick-fil-A Cityline, La Madeline, and even included a “mocktail” bar {sponsored by Costco} where moms could indulge in a fun “pregnancy safe” drink.

Vendors included Stella and Dot by Elissia Defour, Matilda Jane by Kalie Sainz, Mary Kay, Independent Beauty Consultant Brooke Bolt, and even Sassy Chic Embroidery, who made custom gifts on the spot!

Overall, the event offered so many opportunities, perks, and gifts for moms and moms-to-be so that they could feel that “spoil” for a few hours as a small thank you for giving of themselves so willingly and selflessly every day.

A special thanks goes out to our sponsors, and of course, our amazing photographer from AKA Photography for capturing the event so beautifully! You can see the full album of photos by clicking over to our Facebook page.
