It’s National Coffee Day! You might be thinking, “that’s every day in my house,” but just in case you need an excuse to go grab a Cup o’ Joe, here’s a list of some of our favorite local (and chain) spots. A few of them even have a special deal going on today!

Dunkin Donuts – Ok, obviously a chain, but they make some good coffee and as a bonus, there is a drive-thru! For National Coffee Day, DD is offering medium cups of coffee for 66¢ each, to celebrate the company being in business for 66 years.

Frog Coffee Bar – This cute European-style coffee shop located in the heart of Watters Creek Shopping Center in Allen, is a must visit. They will be offering a complimentary drip coffee in honor of National Coffee Day. Stop in and tell them DMB sent you! http://froggcoffee.com/

Krispy Kreme – Customers at participating Krispy Kreme locations not only get a free 12-ounce coffee, but a free original glazed doughnut as well on National Coffee Day.

Oak Lawn Coffee – This place is the epitome of community coffee house. In fact, they are committed to giving 10% of their profits to local non-profit organizations who are working to improve the quality of life for those in Oak Lawn and Dallas at large. http://www.oaklawncoffee.com/

Opening Bell Coffee – Located on Lamar Street downtown, this shop is in the bottom of the Southside on Lamar Building which is an old converted train station. Pearl Cup – Currently in two locations in Richardson and Dallas, this community-centric coffee shop is known for its award-winning latte. pearlcupcoffee.com

White Rock Coffee Co. –With three locations around Dallas, WRC is turning National Coffee Day into a charity opportunity. For every coffee sold (both drip and espresso) on Thursday, they will donate $1 to the Ronald McDonald House at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Also, the Northwest Highway location has live music Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and can double as a great date night location.   wrcoffee.com

Whole Foods Market – Whole Foods is running several different promotions for National Coffee Day. Grab a discounted Pumpkin Spice Latte while you do your grocery shopping this Thursday.
