Dallas Bike Ride: Car-Free Fun for All Ages!

My oldest daughter just turned six, and with it came a childhood right of passage. She woke up the morning of her birthday and was greeted by a shiny purple bike with a big bow on the handlebars. We have since logged hours in a local church parking lot putting in the time to master those skills!

Nothing says childhood like riding your bike. I think I spent more hours riding loops in my neighborhood than I did any other activity, and I want that for my children as well. My daughter may have a new set of wheels, but we live in a big city with busy streets and she is not ready for the freedom of the open road quite yet.

However, later this fall, in the Dallas Bike Ride, parents and kids alike can enjoy the roads and sights of Dallas with all the fun and none of the cars.

If many of your weekends this fall will be spent watching sports, chauffeuring kids to various activities, and prepping for the holidays, you should make sure that you have a time for your family to adventure together!  So take a Saturday to make some memories and feel like a kid again.

The second annual Dallas Bike Ride is Saturday, November 3! Join the ride and register today! Use code MOMSBIKE18 to save big on standard registration and get $15 off! New this year is also expanded family pricing: youth ages 3 to 7 are always free and youth ages 8 to 17 are always half-price.

Dallas Bike Ride is a car-free, recreational, family-friendly bike ride that brings you miles of car-free fun. More than just a ride, this event is the only closed-road bike event in Dallas, with entertainment and snack stops along the course, complete with a Finish Festival after the ride at City Hall with music, food trucks and activities for all ages. Participants can choose from a 20-mile or 11-mile course throughout Downtown, Uptown and many Dallas neighborhoods that crosses the Trinity River four times.

Dallas Bike Ride is excited to announce their non-profit beneficiary, BikeDFW. The ride supports teaching youth and adults how to ride bikes. Register now at dallasbikeride.com!
