Galleria_Play_Place_30x70_Sign_Version13You may have noticed some changes going on at the 3rd Floor of Galleria Dallas.

First, the random yellow leopard was removed from near the Taco Bell.

Then, an apology sign appeared.

Most of the time an apology sign might make moms cringe and lead their child in another direction, but this sign bared good news.

That’s right. Galleria Dallas’s play place if finally getting remodeled!

And Dallas Moms Blog gets to be a part!

On Saturday, April 27th, Galleria Dallas and Dallas Moms Blog will launch a big, grand re-opening party for their new rainforest-themed play place. From 10am-4pm, kids will be able to enjoy a day of “going wild” with amazing activities and crafts!

Come and meet animals from the Dallas Zoo and Texas Discovery Gardens. There will also be appearances that day from Slappy’s Playhouse’s very own Slappy and Monday the Clowns! And of course, you won’t want to miss the face painting, our friends at Baby Boot Camp, and a craft table (wo)maned by your very own contributors of Dallas Moms Blog!

It’ll be a great day full of excitement and the perfect opportunity for you to see the new 3rd floor play place!

As a reader of Dallas Moms Blog, we’re giving you a little bit of the exclusive! We’ve got some fun things in the works for our readers for that day, but we’re also sharing with you some of the blueprints for the new play place pieces.

What do you think?!

Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.

  1. Great sounds fun… Although I do hope the new plans include a gate at the entrance so us moms can relax a bit…

    • There’s not a gate, but they’ve moved the entrance to the side AWAY from the escalators and they’ve made it more secure and closed! From what we heard today, it was mom approved!
