Next up on the family to-do list – what the heck are we gonna do with these kids all summer?? Can I interest you in some day camps? I’m convinced that sleepaway camps are only enjoyed by like 3% of children, and day camps are the way to go for practically everyone else.

Our friends at Texas Discovery Gardens have a bunch of different day camps this summer, both single-day options or the week-long kind. No complaining from the kids and no sad-sack letters coming home about how much they hate their bunk-mate (although, those are hilarious to read 20 years later).

Texas Discovery Gardens day campsTexas Discovery Garden has day camps for preschool through 5th grade plus, a Counselor-in-Training camp for 6th-8th graders.

Kids get to explore the Butterfly House, meet insects and arthropods up close, do art projects, and take a field trip to the Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park (during the full week camps).

Pre-care and after-care available. Oh, and if you are signing up siblings or for multiple camps, be sure to use the DISCOUNT CODE “CAMP10″ during checkout to receive 10% OFF!
