Fall Fun With McDonald’s

By the time the weekend rolls around, I’m always looking for something outside of our day to day routine everyone in my family can enjoy. Something seasonal, something fun, something cultural, just something we can all do together to enjoy our time outside the hustle and bustle the week brings. Dallas is one of the best cities to live in to find events and activities that are just that. On any given weekend, or really even any given day you can find a laundry list of family friendly activities for all ages.

I was so excited when McDonald’s announced this month’s Lunch Bunch would be a fall themed event! The Richardson location, off of Belt Line pulled out all the stops with a face painter, balloon artist, and so much more! What a treat to take my family out to lunch to a restaurant we could all find something we enjoy to eat, AND entertain the kids at the same time! It doesn’t get much better! Well actually it did, because McDonald’s also passed out samples Iced McCafè Peppermint Mocha to help parents stay caffeinated for the second half of their day. This is a cozy peppermint mocha made with espresso beans that are sustainably sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, steamed whole or nonfat milk, peppermint chocolate syrup, and topped with whipped topping and chocolate drizzle. This is the perfect holiday drink for warming up to chilly weather. And who doesn’t need a little jolt of energy after lunch when you have little ones?! For more information on all the McCafe beverages, McDonald’s offers you can see the full drink menu here.

While the kids ate, my husband and I had an actual adult conversation, thanks to the coloring sheets and finger puppets given out upon our arrival. Each child was also so excited to pick out their very own pumpkin to take home and add to the fall decor around their homes. After everyone had a full belly, a colorful face, and a new Mylar friend in their favorite shape, the children were given swag bags stuffed to the brim with fun toys. Such a bonus that many items included in the bag encouraged an active lifestyle! Parents were offered reusable coffee cups and a notepad, both of which come in super handy on a daily basis for me!

My whole family had a blast at this event, and my girls haven’t stopped asking to visit the Golden Arches since. The Lunch Bunch events are always so much fun, and this one was no exception. Thank you to McDonalds for hosting such a fabulous event, and to all those who attended. We hope you enjoyed it, and look forward to seeing you at the next event!
