I LOVE pictures! I love taking them and I love having them framed all around our house. Unfortunately (at least for my husband), I feel like I get the itch to have our family’s picture taken every year! With little ones changing so fast, I feel like we need capture them all of the time!
But it’s definitely a balance…balancing how often my hubby is willing to take pictures (tell me it’s not just my hubby that hates pictures) and how often we can afford to pay a photographer. About a month ago we were lucky enough to spend a Saturday morning capturing pictures of our family, and I wanted to share! We met our friend Ryan (Ryan O’Dowd Photography) at a park in Allen ready to cheese it up. It ended up raining that morning, but we decided to just go with it because we had already set aside that Saturday (and finding another date just didn’t sound fun) and we were already up, dressed and ready to go.
Ya’ll, I honestly was amazed. I knew Ryan takes good pictures because he’d taken maternity and newborn pictures for my sister and her new little one. But since it ended up raining, I just wasn’t sure how many awesome shots we’d get since it was wet and just plain gross outside. But WOW! He worked his magic! Ryan has 2 little ones of his own, so he knew just how to interact with my little guy to get his smiles and personality to come out. He was super laid back and made it easy! We just let Tanner run around and play. Even having my 2 year-old tell him, “No more pictures!” didn’t throw him…he just laughed and kept shooting!
