Saturday morning alarm rings… must mean one thing! It’s time to hit the soccer fields. Soccer Saturdays are a staple with many families raising kiddos, but it takes a small bit of practice (on Mom’s part) to make sure things go off without a hitch.

A little preparation can go a long way to make sure your Saturdays are as easy as they can be. Even a new soccer mom can remember the basics: folding chair, sunglasses, water bottles, sunscreen, uniform and equipment, etc. But Soccer Mom Survival hinges on a good attitude and energy level to last throughout those long days at the fields.

It’s important to not only keep your future soccer star energized on these days, but also those cheering on from the stands — like Mom, Dad, and little brother or sister. This summer, Post Consumer Brands is partnering with Major League Soccer to allow families to get further connected to the game through their most popular and delicious cereals.

Post knows that a few great snack recipes can get your Soccer Saturdays revved up the right way. Here are some of my favorites to get your whole family fueled up BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER games.

Breakfast

Apple Raisin Bran Muffins – these are so good! Made with Post® Raisin Bran cereal, these muffins combine the flavors of apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

I love that you can make batches of these ahead of time and grab them on the way out the door or pack a big bag of them to take with you to the fields.

Blueberry pancakes – maybe you don’t have an 8am game and you find yourself with a little more leisure time before heading out the door. These pancakes are an awesome addition to your family’s day.

Just 1 cup of Post® Selects Morning Blueberry Cereal adds tons of fiber, potassium, folate, vitamin C, and vitamin B6 to your diet.

Fruit Sundae easy breezy!!! Kids will love this since Post Cereals is kicking it up a notch to help kids keep cool by adding FROZEN Vanilla Yogurt (instead of just vanilla yogurt). Throw some fresh strawberries and Honey Brunches of Oats® on top… Your kids will think they are getting dessert for breakfast!

EZ Fruity Popcorn – The name doesn’t like – this snack is EASY to put together and will be gone FAST!

Popcorn, Post Waffle Crisp® Cereal, peanuts, and a little sweetness from strawberry flavor gelatin. . .This almost tastes too good to give to your kids.

After Games

Bran Fruit & Nut Cookies – Since these are technically cookies, I’m placing them in the “After Games” category…but on days when you’re feeling like a “nice mom”, there’s no reason these Post® Raisin Bran Cereal cookies couldn’t be breakfast! 🙂

An added treat – Eat these in the car on the way to celebrate all those goals with ICE CREAM!

Cocoa Pebbles® Churros – if you can prevent your family from eating this cereal out of the box before you get home, then these churros will be worth it!

I have always loved churros, and adding the Cocoa Pebbles® cereal to the mix makes this a VERY kid friendly dessert.
