Texas Discovery Gardens Spring Break Safari 2018Are you still wondering how you’re going to entertain the kiddos all week? Screen time?? It’s a crutch! Why not get out and explore the wonders of nature at Texas Discovery Gardens? They’re doing a special Spring Break Safari all week, and it’s exactly what you need. Here’s what’s up:

  • Come-and-go activities every day from 11am to 3:30pm, March 12-16. Perfect for meshing with your schedule, and you don’t have to sign up or pre-register or anything.
  • Each day has a different theme: Monarch Monday, Slimy, Scaly Tuesday, Wiggly Wednesday, Bird-Day Thursday, Earth-Friendly Friday
  • All activities are free with paid admission to the gardens. 
    ($8/adults, $6/ages 60+, $4/ages 3-11).

11am: Toddler TalkTexas Discovery Gardens Spring Break Safari 2018
11:30am: Story Time (tailored for ages 5 and under) 
12pm: Butterfly Release 
1pm: Special Activity
1:30pm: Walk/Tour 
2pm: Critter Encounter 
2:30pm: Story Time (tailored for ages 6+) 
3pm: Active Game

Texas Discovery Garden hours are 10am to 5pm.

Make a plan to stay for the whole day – bring a picnic lunch or visit the neighboring African American Museum or Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park. You’re already right there!

Can’t visit during Spring Break Safari Week?

Don’t you worry. Texas Discovery Gardens always has a lot going on. Every day they do Toddler Talks at 11am, a Butterfly Release at noon, and Critter Encounters at 2pm. You can also check out their ongoing children’s events like monthly Stories and More (stories and crafts for kids) and new family workshops. Hope to see you there!
