On September 16, 2015, we had over 60 moms join us for a fun night away in Carrollton for “Meet Us at the Market” a DFW Moms Night Out Event. We shopped, socialized, and even learned a thing or two about making a mom’s life a little easier!
As our attendees arrived, they were greeted by the wonderful staff at High Street Market & Antiques, plus a wide assortment of table vendors, booth vendors, and an incredible spread of wine and treats from Tiff’s Treats in Addison and Pollo Tropical. Moms enjoyed shopping the unique finds, but also had a great time meeting local moms and business owners who participated in the event through demonstrations. This event wouldn’t have been so successful without the generous help of Design Roots Calligraphy, Lindsey Edison Branding & Design, It’s Mary Manning, and Belle Couleur.
Design Roots Calligraphy hosted an intimate 60 minute “How to Cheat Calligraphy” Group Demonstration and hands-on workshop for a select number of attendees. This simple tutorial provided the basics of how to add simple calligraphy to home decor, chalk boards, or invitations.
It’s Mary Manning of Dallas provided tips on making beauty transitions easier! We learned how to take our daytime look to datenight ready with just a few simple steps and 5 hair styles for moms on the go. Lindsey Edison Branding & Design gave our guests some great home decor tips for upstyling those shelves and end tables, and Belle Couleur featuring Amy Howard at Home.
This evening was topped off with special contributions to our limited edition swag bags and special High Street Market giveaways. Moms were treated to specialty products and services, plus fun inclusions like tickets to The Improv in Addison, movie tickets to Venetian Cinemas, samples from Fresh Wave and Love Child Organics, sample classes from Orangetheory Fitness, and more!
