Dallas Moms Blog is growing. . .fast! In order to keep up with the demands of our readers and partners, we’re looking to grow our executive team and for dedicated individuals to help us behind the scenes! 

Dallas Moms Blog, LLC. is officially hiring both volunteer and paid positions to help with both of our sites – Dallas Moms Blog & Collin County Moms Blog. We know there are moms of all interests looking for ways to make their daily routines a little more exciting, and we hope we can provide some unique opportunities to help you branch outside of your social circles AND possibly make a little extra for your family. Keep reading if you’re looking for other ways to serve our CCMB & DMB Community!

Open Positions: 

Sales Coordinator

Running this little resource of ours is quite a bit of work and we are looking for someone to join our staff to help us! A big part of what makes Dallas Moms Blog, LLC. unique from other “blogs” is our in-person events and those wouldn’t be possible without our incredible partners and sponsors. We are looking for one person to join our Sales Team and focus specifically on events in both Dallas & Collin County. 

Here’s What You Need To Know:

  • Establish & manage partnerships with brands within our company’s sales strategies
  • Pursue event sponsorships based on guidance from Owner, Event Coordinator, and Director of Sales
  • Educate clients and agencies regarding the value of event marketing with Dallas Moms Blog & Collin County Moms Blog
  • Works with executive team to come up with creative sponsor opportunities at events
  • Use a CRM Tool (Insightly) to keep track of all client communication and sales pipelines
  • Utilizes online & offline resources to cultivate new leads
  • Responds to all emails in a timely manner (24 hour turn-around)
  • Represents Dallas Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Available for weekly sales team check-in’s and monthly/quarterly executive team meetings
  • Available for casual, networking opportunities with contributors
  • Attend DMB/CCMB events where sponsors are present

Qualifications:

  • Has sales experience related to events or experience working with brands’ marketing/PR departments
  • Has a working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely to team members
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments
  • Ability to collaborate on projects with team members
  • Impeccable attention to detail

Time Commitment: about 10 hours/week; can be done from the comfort of your own home and often during the evenings or naptimes. 

This contractor role will be paid on commission with opportunities for quarterly bonuses and will be based on experience.

Event Assistant

Events are a lot of work – from creating online exposure through digital assets leading up to the big date to tearing down after an incredible event. We’re looking for one more event assistant to work with our Events Team to help make our large events happen!

Here’s What You Need To Know:

  • Help brainstorm new and creative event ideas
  • Work with Project Coordinator & Events Team to track all involved sponsors by spreadsheet and ensure that they all have access to complete the sponsor involvement form in a timely manner
  • Assist Owner and Project Manager in uploading all digital assets to the website and social media
  • Assist with event projects leading up to the event, such as creating a photo booth, coordinating activities with sponsors, etc. 
  • On-site availability at each large event, including group prep time the week of, and set-up and tear-down of each event

Qualifications:

  • Has a general understanding of social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest
  • Has a general understanding of WordPress or can quickly learn new online programs
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely to team members
  • Responds to all emails in a timely manner (24 hour turn-around)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate on projects with team members
  • Impeccable attention to detail

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours/week leading up to events; and each sister site will average 1-2
events per quarter. The day of an event, the time commitment will average 4-6 hours. Most work can be done from the comfort of your own home and often during the evenings or naptimes

This contractor role will be compensated hourly and will be based on experience.

VOLUNTEER :: Become a Neighborhood Group Mombassador!

Are you looking for a unique way to engage with your Neighborhood? Do you love coming up with fun outings like playground playdates, picnics, walking clubs, and museum meet ups but are looking for a group to join you? Then we have a role for you!

A Mombassador for Dallas Moms Blog Community Neighborhood Groups is someone who is outgoing, friendly, and familiar with the neighborhoods in her group. Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail and a passion for connecting with other moms, as well as a passion for the Dallas metroplex and the surrounding communities.

Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/week

Summary of Role:

  • Find events in your community & arrange meetups using the Dallas Moms Blog Community Neighborhood Facebook Groups.
  • Events should occur at either public parks or locations at which each participant pays their own way (i.e. DMB will not subsidize admission)
  • We ask that there be a minimum of one event a month, ideally varying between weekdays and weekends (so that both SAHM and working moms have the opportunity to be involved)
  • Mombassadors are not to solicit any local businesses on behalf of Dallas Moms Blog
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner (within 48 hours)
  • Represent Dallas Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times 

We view as an opportunity to gain experience coordinating events in the Dallas area and to become an active part of your community. There may be a chance to earn fun freebies and tickets, depending on availability, but it is not guaranteed!

Mombassadors are needed in the following general areas of town: 

  • McKinney/Allen/Frisco
  • Dallas (Proper) Playgroup
  • Garland/Sachse/Rowlett
  • Mesquite/Forney/Balch Springs
  • Lewisville Lake
  • Richardson
  • Plano/North Dallas
  • Working Moms

Compensation: 

While this role will be voluntary (as we have over 10 neighborhood groups), there will be perks along the way!
