Although March is just around the corner, many moms are already thinking ahead a few months to summer. Splash Pads can only keep kids entertained for so long before it’s time to get creative. We’ve put together below a creative list of activities and camps around the Dallas metroplex to help keep your child physically and mentally moving.

Summer_Camp_2015Leonardo da Vinci wasn’t just an incredible artist & musician, he was an inventor, scientist, mathematician, engineer, writer, and much more. Talk about talented! He is best known as a painter, with his legendary works including the Mona Lisa, the Vitruvian Man and the Last Supper, among others.

7 Notes incorporates a variety of daily activities to help students (Ages: 5 – 12 yrs) learn! These two week sessions include a half-day in Music education using Disney Musical themes (mini musical production), voice, drama, dance and group instructions: piano, violin, or ukulele, and a half-day in Robotics based on LEGO Education curriculum: solving STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) problem/activities in small groups, build motorized models with electric motors & sensors, and programming using LEGO Education software.

Session Duration & Themes:

(Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm) 

Session 1: July 6 – 17 (Frozen)

Session 2: July 20 – 31 (Little Mermaid)

Session 3: August 3 – 14 (Beauty & Beast)

Camp Fee:
$600 per session (2 weeks)

Gray Studios

Gray Studios is a referral based, professional acting studio. They have been teaching and coaching actors in the Los Angeles area for almost ten years and their students have met with incredible success in both film and television. Their instructors are all working actors who have over 100 years combined experience in the industry! They offer Audition Technique classes for film and television and partner with industry leaders to offer technique classes in Commercial, Voice Over, and Improv as well.

Oak Brook School

The Oak Brook School is dedicated to the overall education and development of each child. We offer a well-rounded program that lays the foundation for intellectual and emotional growth. This summer, we’ll be offering camp for kids who just finished kindergarten through age 12. 

Students will rotate between 5 different classrooms separated by grade level.

  • We offer:
    • Swimming twice a week at our on-site pool with life guard on duty. 
    • Beginning and Intermediate Swim Lessons available. 
    • Field trip once a week to child favorite locations. 
    • Monthly in-house activities
    • Fun weekly themes and activities
    • Additional weekly camps available for enrollment to keep all the young busy bodies and minds busy! Past camps have include: Soccer, Science, Cooking, Pottery, Hop Hop Dance and Art camps

Kidville

“Do you wanna build a snowman?” Join us for an exciting week-long adventure for ages 3-6 years inspired by Disney’s Frozen with Camp Arendelle! Campers will dress-up, dance, perform, and discover projects and experiments inspired by their favorite characters. Kids enjoy a healthy snack and boxed lunch from Zoe’s Kitchen. Get ready to “Let it Go” at Kidville, the “coldest” place to play in the summer! 

Session Duration:

Session 1: Monday-Friday, June 8-12 from 9:15am-1:15pm

Session 2: Monday-Friday, August 3- 7 from 9:15am-1:15pm

Camp Fee:

$375 per week

Camp Kidville™ is THE place for learning, playing, and making new friends from May to August for varying ages! Each small camp group participates in developmentally appropriate activities in gym, music, art, exploration and more. Weekly themes such as The Wild Wild West and Safari Adventure set the stage for sports and movement games, live jam sessions with a Kidville musician, take-home art projects, interactive story time and dramatic play in our state-of-the-art air conditioned facility. No sweltering heat, no sunburns, just an amazing line-up of exciting and structured Kidville activities all summer long! For Ages: 18-24 months with caregiver (90 min); 2 years, separation optional (2 hours + option to add 3rd hour & lunch);  3, 4 & 5 years, drop-off (4 hours)

Session Duration:

 June 1st through the week of August 24th (Available for purchase in 1-Week, 8-Week, & 12-Week Sessions)

Calling all 3, 4 & 5 year old superheroes and princesses for a one-week specialty Fairy Princess-Superhero Training Camp at Kidville! Enjoy superhero and princess-themed activities and art projects, gym activities, live music with our talented Kidville band members, social hall, snacktime, and more! Costumes recommended, but not required. Kids enjoy a healthy snack and boxed lunch from Zoe’s Kitchen!

Session Duration:

Monday-Friday, July 13-17 from 9:15am-1:15pm

    Program Overview
    Our Summer Camps entertain and educate 3-10 year olds, giving them a cultural experience without leaving town! Campers will be immersed in the Spanish language at summer camp, where they will enjoy rotations through hands-on activities related to each camps’ theme.
